City of Marion
Located in north-central Indiana along the Mississinewa River, Marion is a community with deep historical roots and a strong industrial legacy. Today, Marion is known for its strong community institutions, including Indiana Wesleyan University, cultural landmarks, and regional attractions like Matter Park. It continues to focus on revitalizing downtown areas, improving public spaces, and strengthening its identity as a vibrant small Midwestern city.
This project was produced through Marion Design Co.; Shore Design’s creator served on the project team.
Purpose.
Develop a cohesive visual identity that communicates the city’s renewed energy, civic pride, and vision for the future.
Solution.
Create an identity that felt approachable, civic-minded, and optimistic—a visual representation of a city investing in its future while honoring its past.
